A good beginning is half the work

The MATSim Tutorial is  an excellent opportunity for everyone to get started with MATSim or expand one's knowledge: you will learn about the core prinicples of agent-based transport modelling, explore the software architecture of MATSim and in practical examples engage in the modelling of demand and supply. In addition, you will learn how to use state-of-the are visualisation tools for interactive analysis of MATSim output.

Courseware, Requirements, Equipment

All presentation material and files of the practical examples will be made available in digital format to the participants in advance of the course.

Participants are ideally already familiar with core ideas of transport modelling and computer literate, but no prior experience in programming is required.

Please bring along your personal laptop and take care that the software as detailed in this pdf-document installed and tested.

When and where

The MATSim Tutorial 2015 will held on March 23 and 24 in Singapore as a two-day intensive course . It is jointly organised by the Future Cities Laboratory and Senozon  and take place on the 6th floor of the CREATE building on NUS University Town campus. The venue will be the ValueLab Asia, a state-of-the-art, digitially augemented meeting facility.
